As far as a burger joint goes, Char-Hut is pretty good. The place seems like a fast-food joint at first glance until you notice 2 things: Your food is cooked to order and their menu is vast.

This place has been around for years (1976) and always serves freshly cooked food. You will have to wait a few minutes, but it is well worth the wait. All of the ingredients are fresh and there is a variety of options.

Forget the burgers - the fries are really good too!! The burgers and fries are cheap and you can stuff your face for under $8.

Char Hut makes great hamburgers. They are not cheap, but they are worth it. You have several choices for buns/pita, which is nice. They cook a lot of the food right in front of you, when you order it.

Char-Hut is my favorite place to go - The hamburgers are very juicy and large. Unlike Five Guys, you can specify if you would like your burger cooked a different way. I highly recommend this place.

Manager Level

There are 3 levels of management:

Training Apprentice Manager
Staff Manager
General Manager

All three management levels work an average of 46 hours per planned work week. Char-Hut pays a flat hourly rate to all levels of management, and over-time is accepted and planned. If Char-Hut needs you to put in more hours than scheduled in your planned work week, you will get compensated for each additional hour worked. All levels also retain a weekly salary rewarding the responsibilities of management only.

Char-Hut benefits include meals and uniforms. We offer medical insurance and the postal credit union. Paid vacation comes after your first year of employment. The greatest benefit could be owning and operating your own store.
